South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat) prepares 24 rubber boat for anticipation during rainy season.

Syamsul Huda, sub-agency head, said those rubber boats are placed in 10 sub-districts for flood handling, especially evacuation.

His side also deploys nine quick response unit to speed up disaster handling, as well as three units of submersible, 12 units of portable pumps, one ambulance, and 30 motorcycles.
"All equipment are in good condition. Those equipment are usually used to handle fire, but they can be used also to assist flood handling," he added.
According to him, the sub-agency also prepares 220 personnel spread in all sub-districts.
"It is hoped our preparation together with other local units will give maximum service for resident,'" he closed.
